How we use your data

At Gain Anaesthetic Success we are committed to being open and honest about how we use your personal data

If you sign up to one of our courses we will collect some personal information such as your name and email address. This policy details how and why we use that information, and your rights under UK GDPR.

The type of personal information we collect

We currently collect and process the following information:

  • Personal identifiers (for example, name and email address)

  • Information about your reasons for applying (for example, your current grade and whether you have applied to anaesthetics before)

  • Whether you are successful in your application (through an optional questionnaire after the end of the course)

When you book one of our courses, you will also share payment details with one of our payment partners. This information is not held by Gain Anaesthetic Success, except for details of the transaction that we are required to keep for accounting purposes. How we get the personal information and why we have it

The personal information we process is provided by you when you sign up to the course. We use the information you have given us for the essential running of the course, and also to audit and improve the course.

We will not share your information with any third parties without your consent unless legally required to, for example as part of a police investigation.

Under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) the lawful basis we rely on for processing this information is your consent. You are able to remove your consent at any time. You can do this by contacting us.

How we store your information

Your information is securely stored online using Google services such as Gmail and Google Drive.

We keep your information for a maximum of twelve months after which it will be permanently deleted.

Your data protection rights

Under data protection law, you have rights including:

Your right of access - You have the right to ask us for copies of your personal information.

Your right to rectification - You have the right to ask us to rectify personal information you think is inaccurate. You also have the right to ask us to complete information you think is incomplete.

Your right to erasure - You have the right to ask us to erase your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to restriction of processing - You have the right to ask us to restrict the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to object to processing - You have the the right to object to the processing of your personal information in certain circumstances.

Your right to data portability - You have the right to ask that we transfer the personal information you gave us to another organisation, or to you, in certain circumstances.

You are not required to pay any charge for exercising your rights. If you make a request, we have one month to respond to you.
